Campus Tech Merger

Universities in Missouri are merging their IT divisions.  The merger is expected to save $5 million.  This is a good thing.  Eliminate duplication in administrative systems.  We have done a little of this in Utah by having a fleet management system that supports all colleges and universities, in addition to all state agencies (over 7500 vehicles).  We are also making progress towards a common facilities management system.  Dixie College and Southern Utah University (SUU) are currently in the implementation stage of this system that is accessed over the internet. Some university administration systems are shared through the Utah Board of Regents.  There are still many potential opportunities in this area.
