I suspect most panoramic photographers would be interested in one of the following just announced new cameras :
Thanks to DP Review for the base links.
The D70 has better or equal specs than the D100 in almost all
categories, which suggests that the D100 needs a price reduction or the
2 year old camera is ready to be phased out. The LetsGoDigital article
has a nice chart comparing the D70, D100, and Canon Digital Rebel. On
the basis of specs, the D70 outclasses the Digital Rebel, but the proof
is in the sample photographs, which are not out yet. It seems unlikely
that Nikon would only announce one low-end DSLR and cede the high end
to Canon, so perhaps the D2x will be announced soon.
