I suspect most panoramic photographers would be interested in one of the following just announced new cameras :
Thanks to DP Review for the base links.

The D70 has better or equal specs than the D100 in almost all categories, which suggests that the D100 needs a price reduction or the 2 year old camera is ready to be phased out. The LetsGoDigital article has a nice chart comparing the D70, D100, and Canon Digital Rebel. On the basis of specs, the D70 outclasses the Digital Rebel, but the proof is in the sample photographs, which are not out yet. It seems unlikely that Nikon would only announce one low-end DSLR and cede the high end to Canon, so perhaps the D2x will be announced soon.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
