Another Good Way to Clean Your Lenses, and Several Ways Not To: "A lot of people have tried to come up with better or perhaps just cheaper ways of cleaning lenses and I by no means exhausted the list of potential ideas last week. Corel RawShooter essentials 2005: "PMA 2005: Corel has announced a 30-day free trial of its new software RawShooter essentials 2005, which allows users to automatically import and batch process RAW files. Raw Shooter works with Paint Shop Pro, Paint Shop Pro Studio, Paint Shop Photo Album, and Photo-Paint. During the RAW conversion process image adjustments such as color and exposure correction, sharpening and noise suppression can be made. The result is TIFF or JPEG files which can be opened in Corel software."

More Photo Finds at PMA: Derrick Story writes "I discovered one of my favorite gizmos of the day at the LensPen booth. ... their new product, the Panamatic, is a low-cost solution for creating 360-degree VRs or panoramas with a digital camera. You simply mount the Panamatic on the tripod, attach the camera, use the bubble level to get things straight, then take a picture and rotate your camera one click-stop on the Panamatic. "

And it's only $24.95.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
