I've been interested for a while in information visualization.  Most recently this curiosity applied itself to the concept of blogging or mapping one's activities on the web.  A few weeks ago I was in South Dakota and thought I'd put together a proof of concept.

A few weeks later I was browsing Jon Schull's weblog and found an interesting entry on Visualizing BlogThreads.

Around the same time I also ran into an article about standardizing a visual vocabulary for information architecture.

Finally, I know that Visio can be automated.  It would be interesting to do this kind of visualization for web browsing or Blog based gleanings using a standard visual vocabulary.

Speaking of information visualization, I have been reading Tufte and it makes me feel small.  But I will be unreasonable and say that this all has a point.  Perhaps it is a project in the making.
