A student at the training center has to add 5000 users to an active directory.  I told him it was easy using ADSI (Active Directory Scripting Interface) but he didn't believe me.  So I wrote a mini-program that has a function for adding users to Active Directory.  Not difficult, based on some stuff I found at 15seconds (but I wrote it in VB6).

Funny, now when I open up VB6 I feel myself getting all misty eyed.

Anywho, you can download the source code or the executable.  I didn't bother with creating a batch mode since I have no idea what he will use as a data source.

I've been having trouble with Visual Studio .NET here and there.  Nothing overwhelming, but it's definitely a heavy weight tool.  I just found ASP Matrix - a free tool for doing ASP.NET development.  It might be worth a trial run - I'll keep this weblog posted...

Some new sites to check out as well.  The Microsoft Student Developer awards, and ASP.NET.  It's amazing what CS students are turning out - quite the humbling experience.
