Currently in Overland Park, Kansas.  It's a suburb of Kansas City.  There is a Chinese curse I once read of in a Carrie Fisher book:

"May you live in interesting times"

Well, this week has been interesting.  I will expand on those details later on, but here are some technical goodies worth looking into:

You can find a .NET remoting benchmark here.  It appears that using TCP and encoding as binary is the fastest way to get things done.

Some people think that the world is a simulation, kind of like the Matrix.  If so, I've been having a pretty crap simulation of late... (details forthcoming).

I haven't done much with it, but REST looks interesting.  I always see it compared with SOAP.
