A while ago, while I was still immobilized because of my achilles surgery, I subscribed to eMusic out of boredome.  I gave a few friends my username/password and they complained about a lack of content but I have no idea what they are talking about; eMusic carries all kinds of labels, and I recently discovered they have a few full lengths from a great recording label called Merck.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on my RSS Aggregator although I finally found one written using .NET technologies that is open source called Aggie.  Not bad - IMHO it needs to have a list of channels available on the first run that is more comprehensive.  It needs a better stylesheet for viewing feeds, and it needs to have features that allow one to organize their favorite feeds.  So maybe, as one of the first times in my life as a developer, I can work and make a contribution on an Open Source project.  Quite the thought.

I wonder how many developers are using PascalCase for their C# projects.  I'm too used to CamelCase from Java.  Eg:
PascalCase:  GetLastestOrdersByID
CamelCase:  getLastestOrdersByID

Never a shortage of holy war fodder!

I'm seriously addicted.  After a few months without coffee as a result of some stomach acid problems, I broke down yesterday and had a cup.  After struggling over the last few months to write code at night whilst in the hotel room, last night I spent several hours working on a C# implementation of an RSS Aggregator I developed a while back.

Coffee is good.

Aspect Oriented Programming is a new paradigm that supposedly will be the next evolution from Object Oriented Programming.  Now it's on my radar, it should be on yours as well.

The best part of my job is usually when I get to go to Hawaii or a conference.  Since the economic woes began last year, however, I haven't had time or leverage to go.  So a tear came to my eye when I found a free online panel including Grady Booch on the future of UML and MDA.
