Today I worked with Caty on the oral part of the exam that I will take next week. I spoke with Matt Rho, who graciously gave me an overview of what to expect.
Oral
A 15 minute interview with a CALV representative. Potential questions include:
- Why do you want to study at Insead?
- What would you like to do after Insead?
- Describe your career to date.
Written
- 30 multiple choice questions
- 20 sentence completion
- Reading comprehension based on an article (perhaps from "Capitale" or "Le Nouvel Economiste")
- A short essay (1 page) on a business topic of current interest
Caty was wonderful! She interviewed me according to the three questions, and recorded my answers on audiotape. Afterwards, we reviewed the tape and discussed how to improve my answers. It was exactly what I needed to do, and I'm going to practice even more tonight.
