My buddy Matt Pope offers some of his own thoughts about an earlier piece on Technology Confined Collaboration. 7:42:09 PM     Thanks to everyone for the massive amount of email.  John Robb at Userland has created something quite awesome here.  Please challenge me, tell me I'm full of it, or offer insights.  All comments welcome. 7:34:55 PM     "Too easy to collaborate": There is such a chasm between IT's view of collaboration, and the people they serve, and their view of collaboration.  Witness an interaction I had a few weeks ago with some folks who suggested that software vendors (and my company specifically) was making it too easy to work with others.  Why?  Read on.... "The IT guy concluded that, "You guys are making it way too easy to share with others." And then he dropped the bomb: "Listen, our business users are stupid, we have to help protect them from themselves." Yea, and if you allow them to share and work securely with others this company JUST might keep up with the demands of the street, because human interaction is the rocket fuel that propels innovation." 7:29:38 PM
