"Molestation"
Today's news from Northern Michigan includes a story of a Catholic priest whose parish has paid a settlement to a 38-year-old man who sued him for "molesting" him when he was in his early 20s.
The verb does not properly apply here. Sexual contact with a person over the age of consent may be rape, or it may be consensual. The story makes it pretty clear that the contact was consensual. It may be inappropriate, unethical, and/or illegal for someone in a therapeutic or pastoral position, but it is not "molestation".
