The final point in this truly bizarre story is coming soon.
Man who castrated HIV-positive man faces sentencing -- An Oak Park man who performed a three-hour castration on a 48-year-old man on his kitchen table was found guilty of practicing medicine without a license and dispensing prescription medicine without a license. Shuo-Shan Wang, 29, faces sentencing of up to four years on one charge and 90 days on the other when he appears before Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Fred Mester on April 21.
A jury of nine men and three women reached the verdict Friday.
The 48-year-old man who sought the castration has testified he wanted the operation because he was HIV positive and believed the castration would suppress his sex drive.
