I recently ordered a box of a dozen N95 "respirator" (in truth, particulate filter) masks from CleanSweep and have set them aside.  Just in case, before the need arises and there is a run at Wal-Mart.

If you have some thoughts in the same direction, sources include the following.   Note that the fact that some suppliers don't report that they are sold out may simply mean that they don't update their web sites.

Emergency Medical Assist, Inc. requests a call to check availability on its several models, most of which are likely to be unavailable at any given time
LifeAssist, Inc. reports that it is currently sold out.
Safety Plus has them on "back order"
Texas America Safety reports, variously, that it is sold out or that it is limiting orders to 36 boxes
Clean Sweep Supply offers a couple of different varieties at its Respirators and Masks
Prepare-Now (marketed to those who want to "prepare for biological attacks")
Econ Disposable
Life Protectors

Avoid the SARSmask site, which has obviously been set up to cash in on the scare.  It is selling the masks for $7 each.   You should be able to get them for about $1 - 3 each.

3M, the premier manufacturer, includes SARS information on its web site.  Its information includes:

The demand for approved respiratory protection products continues to increase as a result of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). To address this increased demand, 3M maximized production levels by adding shifts and capacity at our facilities around the world. In response to this situation, we want to make you aware of the actions that we are taking to most effectively manage the distribution of these products at a time of unprecedented worldwide demand.

We are also working with global health agencies to ensure that appropriate respirators are sent to the most acutely affected areas. Based on discussions with health authorities worldwide, 3M has decided our first priorities are healthcare workers and families directly in contact with SARS patients. Consistent with that decision, we are prioritizing our resources accordingly.
