My phone call with Carla from Gateway I called Gateway last night, asking for an update on the status of a computer monitor that I ordered 2 weeks ago and was being helped by a woman named Carla. After verifying who I was and what I had ordered, was I surprised when she said that they had tried to deliver the monitor, but the recipient refused to accept it! We both guessed that the delivery service must have tried to delivery to my neighbor, who obviously hadn't ordered a monitor. I expressed my concern that I had expected the monitor a week ago, because I still have a computer in a box waiting to attach it to. On a lark, I asked if they could resend the monitor, but ship it overnight and have Gateway pick up the tab. After checking with her supervisor, she said that the request was approved! Folks, we're talking about paying over $120 to get a $300 monitor shipped to me. So I'd like to thank Carla for her excellent customer services skills and Gateway for it's customer oriented ethics which are nothing short of exemplary.
