> Shopping.
A month after moving in, two weeks after setting up my computers in an empty office on a little folding table, I picked up a pretty decent desk at EurWay. I originally approached the store with a healthy dose of scepticism, but as it turns out they have office furniture that's cheaper and nicer than anything I found at Office Depot or OfficeMax. But now I have to put it together!

After picking up the desk, I headed down to Whole Foods for some yogurt and a sampling of trail mixes for the kids to try for their lunches. Austin is actually the home of the original Whole Foods, though I'm pretty sure that the downtown location has been renoved since then. The second Whole Foods opened in Houston while I was at Rice, and I've been a fan every since. Not for all of our grocery needs by any means (we have HEB for that here -- a quality store in its own right), but it's a great resource. Of course, the store has stiff competition here with Central Market, which is pretty awesome. I checked today, and Whole Foods' chile selection is nothing close to Central's:
