> Late day at camp for the kids, so we decided to take the opportunity to have an early dinner out.
Went to Curra's Grill, the Mother of all Mex. Awesome Molé. Three types of totillas. Three types of beans. Delicious salsa. I'm reminded now of the loss I felt initially in California, having left behind all this great Tex-Mex. Eventually, I did learn to appreciate the few shining stars in the Bay Area, like La Fiesta and Fiesta del Mar; but it just aint the same. I'm looking forward to mas y mas cocina mexicana de tejas!
> Beautiful day.
Cruising the highways in Austin. Lots of it to do, but it's actually a pleasure. The alleged bad traffic here is only at rush hour, which is confined to its classic time slots, not all day, like the Bay Area. Mostly, driving here is doing 60-70+ mph through a scenic terrain of hills and lakes, with occasional stop lights that have no backup. Very pleasant indeed.
