> Bruce
Well, I tuned in a little late, but Bruce Springstein and the E. St Band is on David Letterman. Pretty cool! Bruce is looking good. The Boss is back!
> No floods
My friend Dave asked if we were caught up in any flooding here. No, the major flooding was south of here, the largest city being San Antonio. In Austin, the waterways — including the popular Barton Springs — were closed due to the overflow. Gradually, they’re reopening, but they’re not as pristine as usual. We hope to take a trip to New Braunfels to do some tubing next weekend. Should be a lot of fun.
> Dental work
Just back from the dentist. New crown, part 1. This dentist, Elie Hage D. D. S., seems totally up to date, personable, and (optionally) uses Nitrous Oxide ($48). A little dentistry a la carte, so to speak. For this job, I opted for the extra comfort. A little Hotel California piped though the PA system; actually sounded good! Always reminds me of the hotel by that name on California Ave, Palo Alto... Sheduled for another visit in 3 weeks -- no pain killers should be needed for that one.
