Call for Cover Design Yields 264 Entries. Back in March, I announced Guy Kawasaki's contest to find a cover design for his upcoming book, The Art of the Start. The feedback came in fast and furious from designers who felt Kawasaki's contest "devalued the efforts of designers,"... [Fresh Inc.]
Kawasaki offers designers visibility in exchange for a fabulous selection of (free) cover art (and media and blog coverage) that will help (a) sell some books and (b) publicize the repositioning of GTV as a focused seed-stage technology venture capital firm.
When financial capital is constrained, there are always other currencies to trade.
