Taken two weeks ago when I was finishing up my 'homework' assignment. I liked it too much not to do anything with it (i.e. parade it around like a cat with a dead rat). I think it's pretty damn good for my little Olympus C-720. Pops was talking about getting an SLR soon. He wouldn't have the faintest idea how to really harness the potential of that camera. I, on the other hand, would not only harness that power, but attempt to channel some sort of creativity through it, as I am with my Olympus.

I got to talk to my Aunt J today. She's a sister of my late grandmother, so that technically makes her my great aunt, but we all know, so there's no need for the extra word. It just makes everyone seem way too old as well. Like my grandmother, she's been battling breast cancer. Thankfully she came out alright, but she had a brief hospital stay last week. J and her sister J2 are total East Coast; accents and all. I love going back there and visiting.

Speaking of visiting, my folks informed me last night that we're packing up and flying out to NYC for Christmas. There's no need to stay here in Los Angeles for the holiday since there's no one here to celebrate with but ourselves. Having quite a bit of money now helps with that too. We're looking at at least a week stay in the Big Apple. I wasn't too thrilled with the idea at first, but I then looked at the possibilities. With my keen sense of direction, and the help of the NYC transit, I'll be spending a majority of that week exploring. First stop, CBGB's.

Paroosing through DPR has made me a very jealous girl. I'd like a new camera very soon. Maybe I can find someone with a really nice camera and borrow it for a bit.
