Infoworld has published a good review of Oracle's new integrated SOA offering. Predictably, since Vordel sells XML Gateway and SOA Security Testing products, I will point out that Oracle's suite does not include an XML Gateway or a tool to test Web Services for security capability [although arguably you could run one of their WSM intermediaries in the DMZ as an XML Gateway, but I believe most architects would prefer to run an actual pre-hardened XML Gateway there instead].

The Infoworld review mentions many useful applications which are part of Oracle's SOA suite, but I'll add one more here: their XVM (XSLT Virtual Machine) which allows XSLT to be accelerated through compilation. I find that many people are not aware that this is an option for accelerating XSLT.
