CHICAGO - The Donors Forum of Chicago Library will close temporarily, from September 3 to October 31, for renovation to its facilities. The Library, which houses the Midwest's largest collection on philanthropy, nonprofit management and fundraising, is undertaking the renovation to make space improvements and reduce operating costs.
"Just like every other nonprofit, we have to make decisions about space and budget," said Barbara Kemmis, vice president of library services. "This renovation will improve the Library's functionality and lower the Donors Forum's expenses, thereby helping us serve our constituents better."
For more information about the Donors Forum of Chicago or the Library, contact Jelene Britten at (312) 327-8942 or jelene@donorsforum.org, or Barbara Kemmis at (312) 578-0175 or info@donorsforum.org.
The Donors Forum of Chicago-a regional association of grantmakers-serves the greater Chicago area, promoting effective and responsible philanthropy, serving as an information resource about grantmakers and grantmaking, and strengthening philanthropic and nonprofit partnerships.
