I finally decided to transform my NT box into a Gentoo one. I am now removing programs I do no use anymore. I'll the transfer those I still use to my main XP box. Then I'll move some hardware out of this box.
I hope this installation won't be to painfull considering that it has some "exotic" hardware: a SCSI tape back-up, a SCSI DVD player, a SCSI jaz, a Zip, a SCSI CD-R, a sound card, 3 hard drives and a SCSI scanner. None of them are exotic per se. It is just that my Linux installation experience is limited to much simpler hardware.
