When I was undergraduate, there was a book everybody had: "Numerical recipies in FORTRAN". Now it is on-line. It's great since my own copy is on a bookshelf at my parents place. Maybe I can transpose the algorithm I need to Perl...

Does anybody know about a Perl module to do multi-variables linear regression. Basically a function of the form:

f(x1, x2, x3)=a1*x1 + a2*x2 + a3*x3

Beijing rhetoric intensifies against Hong Kong activists. Mainland barrage against democractic movement. [Christian Science Monitor | World]

Beijing is spitting on Hong Kong again. Can't they understand that the freedom of Hong Kong benefits them? Of course they are afraid to see mainlanders starting to claim the same freedoms. This should be a signal to the Communist Party to start to clean its act. Too many corrupt officers in the Communist Party and ill-managed banks: these are two points to start with. If the people of China see improvement in their own country, maybe they will stop to look out for models to adopt. Meanwhile the elite of the communist party would be better to look at itself rather than bullshitting its smal but powerfull neighboor.
