Having been raised as a beancounter, I am easily swayed by numbers.  These, via IMAO, sure convinced me I was wrong about Tony Blair.

Daschle accuses Cheney of politics

Tom Daschle says Dick Cheney is playing politics with war against Iraq.  Earth to Major Tom: that's what politicians do.

Of course he knows that.  He's doing it, too, when he makes a national issue of a statement that otherwise would have just been a normal part of Adam Taff's campaign to unseat Dennis Moore, D-KS.

I don't criticize either of them for doing it.  This is an election and the voters have to know where candidates stand on the issues.  Right now there are few issues as important as how to deal with Iraq, exept perhaps which party controls Congress.  Of course Cheney and Daschle are both working hard on that one.
