[Item Permalink] Chewing a USB flash memory -- Comment()
My youngest daughter got hold of my keys, and was happily chewing my USB memory stick (a Smartdisk 256 MB Flashhopper) until I noticed what she was doing. The USB connector was a bit misshapen, and the device was quite wet. I fixed the connector with my Leatherman, and suprisingly the device seems to work ok. Not too bad. But have to remember take better care of my keys when she is around.

[Item Permalink] Using the iBook wirelessly in the garden -- Comment()
Yesterday I tried using my iBook wirelessly in the garden outside out house. The WLAN connection worked perfectly, and the signal strength was good: two bar out of the maximum. Thus, the AirPort Extreme base station was a good choice in terms of signal strength.

In the garden I thought about how far the signal travels, but didn't start wandering throught the neighborhoor carrying the iBook with me. The real problem of using the iBook outside is the screen brightness, which of course applies to all devices with an LCD display.
