Edith Nesbitt: "It is wonderful how quickly you get used to things, even the most astonishing." [Motivational Quotes of the Day]

My tentative list of originally astonishing, now commonplace things: Leatherman Micra, Titanium PowerBook G4, Apple iPod, Apple iSight, Goretex walking shoes by Sievi. And some not-so-concrete things: LaTeX, Fortran 90/95, Python. One thing which has not lost the mystery are books by certain authors, such as Hemingway, Dostojevski, Faulkner etc.
