Visiting the Finnish national parks -- Comment() During this summer, our family has visited quite a few of the national parks in the Helsinki region: Nuuksio, Vuosaari, Espoonlahti, Pitkäkoski etc. These all have their individual characters, and I feeld they show their best side on different times of the year. However, the rainy summer has made some of the trips not so enjoyable. In addition, the deer louse flied ("hirvikärpänen" in Finnish) is a real annoyance in some of the parks. There are nice parks a bit farther away from Helsinki, such as the Liesjärvi national park. I feels these are worth visiting also, although traveling by car to have a walk seems like a not quite environmentally-friendly thing to do. But it is a nice thing for the family to enjoy, and I strongly feed that human beings need to get familiar with being outside in the nature.
