Eclipse's RCP sounds interesting: a new Java client platform or possible .Net bridge?
I enjoyed Knuts post on Eclipse's new RCP. The great thing about SWT / JFace is that its completely native; so any platform specific stuff (neato OS X stuff or MS .Net malarkey or coolio 3D looking glass goo) should be totally integratable.

Already SWT / JFace integrates neatly with COM; I wonder if the RCP will provide a neat bridge to .NET stuff for Java developers who need to do some MS Office hackery without moving over to the dark side?

LookingGlass looks cool
I spotted this demo via WebMink today which looks pretty cool. It'd be great to integrate this with OS X,  Expose and virtual desktops. Though I always thought that 3D desktops would be more like running around a building like Quake / Doom rather than being a 'desktop'.
