We've got a winner in the Groovy logo competition...
Many thanks and a hearty congratulations to jmcarthy99 who submitted this logo. We had some great entries - many thanks to you all! We might have to use some of the others on t-shirts!
I find this one quite funny too :)

I needed to profile some code on my PowerBook and I was dismayed to see that JProbe, the tool I'd tended to use for profiling doesn't even support OS X. Damn! I tried out OptimizeIt
which at least supports OS X but it doesn't seem to work (e.g. it runs
but all popup windows where you configure things appear completely
empty bar a little title bar & no resize option).
So I've been evaluating JProfiler
a little this week. Whilst it doesn't quite do all the whizzy things
that JProbe used to do it is quite reasonable. (Though don't make the
mistake I did and try clicking on the script in bin to run the thing - go into the bin/macosx and run that script instead. The latter works fine, the former doesn't really work at all :)
Has anyone found any other profilers that run on OS X? Yes I can run
them on Linux over X, which is another option. Incidentally I ended up
doing that with BEA's Workshop the other day as they don't support OS X
either - bad BEA! :)
