Year of the *Small Business market 2003 will be year of the *SB market, i.e., firms with 5-500 employees albeit that market segment is defined very broadly it is considerably large (~6 million firms). A firm with ~100 employees is considered the norm for the global *SB IS/IT market segment. This segment spent over $340b in 2002 (yes, that is billion with a 'b') and that makes *SBs very big spenders and their penchant for the Internet will grow considerably and Microsoft knows it. 8:06:59 AM
