SQL Server detective work

Last night I attended 'Deciphering and Understanding SQL Server Performance Metrics' presentation given by Bill Sulcius (Microsoft). Bill showed how with the help of PERFMON and some detective work one can identify resource bottlenecks on a SQL Server. It's quite an art! He also briefly showed his .NET application that uses System.Diagnostics classes in the FCL to do diagnostic work. He will be posting his presentation and code on the website soon.
