Safe but Sorry Earlier this year, formerly American owned electrical box and circuit maker Square D announced they were closing their attractive state-of-the-art plant just east of Raleigh and relocating its manufacturing and supportive offices (purchasing, etc.) to Mexico. The final closing in December is now here. Look for many more signs like this if our current executive branch and Congress are successful in passing the Free Trade Area of the America's Act (FTAA) which has almost nothing to due with "Free" trade and almost everything to do with the destruction of the problematic American middle class. Don't expect a new 400,000+ sq. ft operation showing up here anytime soon, unless it is a warehouse to store product made outside the US. 8:46:56 PM comment [] |
