"I'd like to see our political leaders adopt the character of their predecessors and say that we're not going to sacrifice liberties and cower in the face of our new enemy; we're going to kill him."

Actually, when this country was more courageous and cared more about our personal liberty we spoke of vanquishing or defeating our enemies. Maybe the phrase "kill him" is what we really meant all along. However, I never considered killing as a particularly noble or courageous alternative to fear.

Lap dog journalist of the ruling elite George F. Will revises history on the John Birch Society, "for the record."

I'd like to think some of our rulers figured out that the efforts of The John Birch Society cost them a lot more than they originally calculated for the passage of CAFTA.

Then again, maybe they felt it was important to raise the smear alert on the JBS up to code Orange because Lou Dobbs is out there on CNN retailing the JBS message in blasting the CFR and our political and academic elites.
