News leak From a UNCG student:

We'll be gathering in front of the library on Wed. Nov. 16th from 11am-1pm to protest the existence of these "free speech zones" on campus. Basically, UNCG (like many public universities across the country) has designated two tiny areas of campus as "free speech and assembly zones" where groups can gather to send their message. This of course implies that the rest of the university is NOT a free speech zone, which is not true. The constitution clearly states that ALL public property is a free speech zone. As long as a group is not disrupting the primary function of the property (holding class),it is allowed to assemble anywhere and say anything that it pleases. Students all over have been holding assemblies like these and getting their schools to eliminate these rulings.

It can't happen here?

I'm sure for many it is obvious that what is going on in France right now does not represent a unique situation.  As an example here is the sanitized version of a shouting match that took place last weekend in a trailer park in east Greensboro between one faction of residents that included an impassioned marine veteran and another made up of young men of questionalbe legal status blasting Salsa music from their SUV hidden from view behind a trailer.  (This took place before the sheriff's duputy showed up looking for the source of the music.)

"Turn that racket down! People are trying to live here."

approximate translation from the Spanish, "Hey, hey shut your mouth."

"You understand what I said, turn that crap down."

"Yeah we understand.  Shut your mouth."

"You got no right to blast that stuff at me, turn that crap down."

"Oh yeah?

"Yeah!"

"Why don't you just go back to f***** Europe!"

The conversation quickly detriorated from there but fortunately the sheriff's deputy arrived to provide at least a temporary third party diffusion of the situation.

If you still can't comprehend that we have a serious problem with mass immigration and assimilation in our country and state, press 1 for English.
