Bush visit to Kernersville (advance scouting party report)

Fellow patriot Les Creech and I made a Sunday drive out to the Deere-Hitachi construction equipment plant in Kernersville today. Tomorrow, Pharaoh along with his phalanx of SS men will be there "getting close to the people."

The objective of our scouting action was to identify if there were any American's with vim and vigor living in the eight middle class homes directly across the street from the Deere-Hitachi plant. If so, we hoped to convince one or more to allow their front yards to be used for sending a message to Pharaoh on trade and economic policies being pursued on his watch.

There is good news and bad news to report.

The good news is that of the eight potential candidates we found no one that supported Pharaoh. The bad news is that we also found no one willing to make a statement on their front lawn. Unlike the propagandists in the polling firms that tell us how we think we will give you the raw data and you can draw your own conclusions:

candidates #1-4 - not home.

candidate #5 - home but when we knocked knocked back rather than answer the door.

candidate #6 - Stated he was a retired US Airways worker who never had an interest in politics. Couldn't see why he should be excited about Pharaoh coming to visit. He was concerned about the future of his US Airways pension check however. We couldn't get him to see a connection there.

candidate #7 - Man and wife who had moved down from New York to retire within the last year. Said they were long time Republicans who no longer could support Pharaoh but did not want to stir up any trouble with neighbors they still had not gotten around to getting to know. They had some guests just leaving as we approached. The couple was visiting from New York. They also stated that they were Republicans who no longer support Pharaoh.

candidate #8 - Strongly opposed Pharaoh but said it was too late to fight back, that America is morally lost and now only the return of Jesus Christ can save us. Was well versed in NAFTA, CAFTA and the FTAA. Was certain that the North American Community initiative was one of the 10 kingdoms prophesized in Revelation. Was not interest in making a secular statement on his front lawn in a battle that is spiritual.

A small sampling, but perhaps an accurate snapshot of North Carolina just the same.

Alas, we returned home empty handed on our mission. I kick myself for two things:

1) I should have gone up to the Fox8 News truck that was scouting the lay of the land in front of the Deere-Hitachi plant as well. Maybe Lenslinger was in there.

2) Right off the Mountain street entrance to the plant a landscaping crew was busy tossing out tufts of pine needles over the muddy clay. I had my camera with me and yet it never occurred to me what a great picture it would have made to capture of trio of "foreign born - not yet citizens" laboring to make the Potemkin scene just right for Pharaoh.
