And the worst US Congressman in North Carolina is....

Per the John Birch Society's latest compilation (.pdf) of 10 key votes in Congress the North Carolina representative that scored dead last in upholding the US Constitution was --drum roll please -- this guy.

Hint: Had we not badgered him relentlessly into finally (on the very night of vote) seeing it the right way on CAFTA (NO!), his score would have been even worse.

CAFTA - Not over until it is over

It's a press release put out by an office of our Imperial Excutive Branch so it is confusing to read. But, we think the translation is that the CAFTA billed squeezed through the US Congress this summer is not going to be implemented on schedule as originally planned.

Kooks or just ahead of their time?

For the few that may have seen the Salon.com article which took a swipe at the John Birch Society for having fought the "they're out to get Christmas battle" way back in 1959, The JBS has now posted our entire 1959 piece on-line.
