Free Speech at UNCG - victory for the moment "As of 4pm last Friday afternoon, all charges against myself and Robert Sinnott, for violating the Free Speech Zone policy of UNCG, have been dropped. With the constant aid of the wonderful lawyers at FIRE, we have achieved a significant victory; the University has failed miserably at intimidating two of its own students in to silence. They have formed a committee to review the policy this semester, all thanks to the pressures we have put upon them. Committees are usually the official form of a brush-off, but we'll keep protesting and FIRE will continue to send out press releases. Once again, thanks to all who are reading this that showed up that day." -Allison Jaynes ![]() |
