Scott Yost is for real!

After our regular Sunday night mens' hockey game last night our team was enjoying our customary stop at Cooper's Ale House for wings with beer buckets and drafts.

As I walked up to the bar, Scott Yost flagged me down to say, "Hi."  He was rapping up his regular Sunday meal after the movies with his friend Nicole.  Having just seen it, they gave me the poop on Brokeback Mountain from both a man's and woman's perspective.

I could of course spoil Scott's printed review that might be in this weeks Rhino, but I won't.  The important news you need to know is; all those fantastic stories Scott comes up with regarding having to turn away Generals cheerleaders and drop dead gorgeous airline attendants, believe them.  He's got Nicole to talk to every Sunday night.

Nicole knew some of the guys on the UNCG team I have played with over the last few years. She also knows who "bathrobe guy" is. She's the real deal...and so is Yost.

New Math 101

(Indiana House Wrongly Valued at $400 Million) **

Local government watchers with trained eyes are conditioned to spot this new math:

"Most local officials did not learn about the mistake until Tuesday, when 18 government taxing units were asked to return a total of $3.1 million of tax money. The city of Valparaiso and the Valparaiso Community School Corp. were asked to return $2.7 million. As a result, the school system has a $200,000 budget shortfall, and the city loses $900,000."

And these people are trusted with running the school system?

** The ABC Chicago website has a great ad for LUNA that is worth clicking on the link for.
