Team Bush seeks to set up more slave labor camps to compete with North Carolina textile workers

It wasn't enough for the now disgraced Mr. Abramoff and Tom Delay to help the Chinese Communist Party set up slave labor garment sweat shops on American soil, now their unscrupulous successors want to cut an almost identical deal with the equally vile Sultan of Oman.

Can't give you the Birch spin on this yet, but here is the admirable action alert from Ralph Nadar's Public Citizen sent out last Wednesday.

What's the same: Communist Chinese made textiles, stitched together by "guest workers" slaving away in the Sultan's realm to be sold duty free in the US.  All under the guise of another "free" trade deal.

What's different: Oman is not (yet) a US territory like Saipan so no "made in the USA" label allowed. / Halliburton types will get the booty on this instead of Abramoff and Delay types.

The whole thing stinks.  Contact Howard Coble in our 6th Congressional District and remind him that this time we need him to come out against this scam before the night of the vote.

Also contact the Miller and Robinson campaigns for the 13th District seat to promote this as an issue in their race.

The Bush Adminstration was scared off from trying to push CAFTA through during the 2004 election.  We need to scare them off in 2006 as well.
