BAGHDAD, Iraq - Two Iraqi women were shot to death north of Baghdad after coalition forces fired on a vehicle that failed to stop at an observation post, the U.S. military said Wednesday. Iraqi police and relatives said one of the women was about to give birth.

Baseball Blues

Day after memorial day: the official start of another long boring season of baseball. For those who love the game, I bet you didn't know that there are some in Japan who dispute the game's founding by Abner Doubleday. (see the second still in the video...It's Japanese anime so you can trust it like your Lexus for accuracy and precision.)

The rest of the video is an interesting watch if your curious for a peak at the zeitgeist in young Japanese culture regarding their darker feelings towards the iron fisted United States.

Caniac sidebar: At least we still have a few weeks left of the Stanley Cup playoffs, though I must admit hockey in the middle of June seems awfully silly. Go Canes!
