A picture named joy.gifBTW. Troubled Diva has managed to get more comments than Wil Wheaton. Amazing. Must be some sort of a time-warp; dilithium crystal overflow or Q. Wil's weblog isn't that bad at all, I actually like it. From time to time. Not always. Sometimes. No, he's great. A proper actor and opposed to ... well, that 'government' and everything else that might happen.

A picture named daf.jpgDer Sheriff. You can now download the video of DAF's new single 'The Sheriff - An Anti-American Song' from their website (click on 'Filme'). Mhmm. I find it a bit boring actually, compared to the thundering drone of 'Der Mussolini'. And the lyrics... well, I guess DAF just hasn't changed at all.

A picture named robots.gifWhat about the Liberal Democrats then? Any party at all on the right track over here? IDS sets out his moral case for war. The Tory leader will address his party's spring conference on why he backs prime minister Tony Blair in going to war to disarm Iraq. [BBC News | Front Page | UK Edition]

A picture named skull.jpgSkulls. Because CNN is going to present similar stuff fresh from Iraq in the near future, here's a link to a skull exhibition at the California Academy of Sciences. And the skulls there are really old skulls.

A picture named robot2.gifSadly, it won't help. But at least there's something happening in the US. Anti-war protesters gather in Washington. WASHINGTON - As anti-war protesters began gathering for today's march around the White House and other demonstrations around the globe, dozens of former members of Congress urged the Bush administration to give weapons inspectors more time before taking military action against Iraq. A picture named Paris1937-8.jpgTravel Ephemera. I'm having a problem with this website. On one hand, you will find the most beautiful travel-related graphic design there (travel brochures, ads, luggage labels...), on the other hand, if you follow the author's Truth Victorious link, you will find the most disturbing anti-Arabic, anti-France and anti-UN right wing links there. Up to my readers to decide. Found via xq.

A picture named shit.gifFreedom of Speech [2]. Freedom of speech? Democracy? We don't need this crap. NYPress - Cage Match

"Abandoning the time-honored pretense of spontaneity, Bush chose the order of questioners not by scanning the room and picking out raised hands, but by looking down and reading from a predetermined list. Reporters, nonetheless, raised their hands in between questions- as though hoping to suddenly catch the president's attention.

In other words, not only were reporters going out of their way to make sure their softballs were pre-approved, but they even went so far as to act on Bush's behalf, raising their hands and jockeying in their seats in order to better give the appearance of a spontaneous news conference. "koewi"

A picture named victorian.jpgOld ads, continued [2]. It cured me! Have a look at the Victorian Tradecards exhibit at Miami University Libraries.

The Miami University Libraries contain several thousand advertising trade cards. Trade Cards were typically used to advertise products and services including such items as patent medicines, thread, sewing machines, food and beverages, farm equipment and others. Trade cards reached the height of their popularity during the 1880's and 1890's. Reduced postal rates and the rise of magazine publishing led to the eventual decline in popularity of this unique American form of advertising.

A picture named 820.jpgOld ads, continued. AdFlip is 'the worlds largest archive of classic print ads'. Brilliant. The ad on the left is from the famous Volkswagen campaign by DDB. Doesn't work with Safari for some reason.
