Proper Advertising. The original print of the picture on the left can be found hanging on a wall at the staircase leading down to the Bates canteen and shows the Creative Department at Dorland, London, which later became Ted Bates (Dorland Advertising's illustrators creating new material in 1920. Their client list was superb.). Pictures like this one and lots of old UK ads and insights into the ad industry are at The History of Advertising Trust. Enjoy.

Personality Crisis gone. Thanks to Jörg and Anneke, especially Anneke, I should say, I'm now blogging all my rants about the war - as well as other things - over at Der Rollberg. Thank you, guys! You've made a Cartoonist with a split personality very happy. And very 'unsplit'.

Needful Things. I feel like a kid in a candy store. At the same time at a loss of how to explain this website. The Imaginary World is full (and I mean full) with old ads, toys, store displays, Disneyland, food packaging, gum card art - oh, go and have a look. It's amazing. Just amazing.
