The Latest Audio Gear For Mac-Based Music Studios : The Audio Engineering Society Convention in Los Angeles spotlights the newest pro-oriented hardware and software, with lots of goodies coming for Mac OS X. (Apple via MyAppleMenu) [MyAppleMenu] Another Reason to switch, those guys are doing their best to cope with the junk from Redmond, I'm using it myself on a PC at the moment, but seeing it on MAC is quite a different experience.

Microsoft's Mac manager steps aside. Kevin Browne, who headed Microsoft's Macintosh Business Unit, is moving to an unspecified role in the company's Xbox unit. [CNET News.com] Maybe to switch the bugger to LINUX like the PS2 to create a decent console??

After reading my previous post, there are usually two reactions. It's either "a Unix Addict using a MAC?", or "good choice". For those in the first category, check this link for the ones in the latter category, yes BSD is cool.
The other thing that drives me toward a MAC is the fact that I have high hopes that Apple won't cave and include DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) in their systems and hamper the versatility of my "Personal Computer", something I obviously don't like.
If Hollywood wants to hamper innovation, they should do it on Windows since Windows users are used to be kicked for ideas like "Why can't I do this or that on my system?" The answer from Redmond is usually: "Because we don't want you to, live with it we're market leader and you're just a licensepaying idiot that has to obey and cheer for every restriction we're 'innovating'!"

Pretty much everything seems to be haywired at the moment, I'll need to get a MAC ASAP.
