Assisted-GPS Single Chip Solution......find me quickly.....even in the woods...

Picked this up on Infosync from Bryce's Radio Experiments wireless category. Motorola - just when I was ready to write-off you guys for good - come out with this nice single-chip solution for assisted-GPS location finding. I want one one of these goodies in my mobile NOW with a J2ME API please.......when?

Cool website for cell sites

Whilst updating my course for the run next week, I was looking for some real cellsite information to base my location slides on. Voila! I found this cool site run by O2 (still says BTCellnet though).

Like the old days....

Off tonight to meet up with two old friends - Dave and Barry - from Motorola GSM/UMTS division. We are hoping to stay off the topic of Motorola and the rumours of its wireless sell-off. Mentioned my weblog to them and Dave recommended "Joel on Software". We'll probably talk lots of ideas as usual, but I plan to mention sustainable housing after my recent interest to build my own sustainable-living house - complete with wireless LAN illumination of course. Talking of which, I just had a quick glance at Reiter's Wireless Data Web Log which looks worth subscribing to. Reminds me that I was supposed to get my wireless logging working by 2nite so we could make a live report from Pizza Hut or DeVere's coffee lounge. Let's see if I can't knock up a quick WAP page to do it this afternoon after I get back from Orange.
