Shadow Images, con't.
So, I was thinking if you wanted to do this yourself...
Take an image and convert to black and white (maybe 8 shades of gray) via a graphics application.
Convert picture to a low resolution (dpi.) This will determine the number of tiles.
Create tile with a feature that would make a shadow. Perhaps a
projection such as a wall, or maybe a series of grooves. The
height of the projection, or the number, would determine the amount of
gray/black the tile might produce.
The postion of the projection (or tile) would determine what day the
shadow would be the longest. This would mean that the image would
have the highest contrast on a certain day.
That ought to do it...
Instead of tiles on a wall, it may be possible to have a good image
using a similar technique on the side of a pot. Maybe using
stamps for the different grays/black.
Like all this stuff, one never knows until one actually makes such a pot...
