Amazon Adventure

Tracking my Amazon.com order enroute from Coffeyville, Kansas to Seattle, Washington

I miss the days when Amazon.com shipped all their orders from just a dozen miles away in Seattle—I'd place an order and get it the next day. (In fact, I used to complain because they wouldn't let me pick up my order in person when I was running errands in the neighborhood anyway.)

Alas! Those days of convenience are past. I'm now tracking an order which was shipped yesterday evening from Coffeyville, Kansas. The package seems to have spent most of the night wandering around Oklahoma but ended up back in Kansas before finally being sent westward. Amazon's tracking shows that it's now somewhere between Salina and Portland. Even that will still be three freeway hours away...

Oh well. At least it looks like maybe I could receive a visit from the brown truck tomorrow afternoon...
