Utah Left Out of National Guard Funding
A National Guard program providing military teams to respond to chemical attacks or other war-related emergencies will not be implemented in Utah and 18 other states based on President Bush's FY04 budget. The teams were authorized in the FY04 defense authorization act, but not budgeted for. Robert Bennett sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
