Some World, Huh
So, where do we stand in the big scheme of things:

We got Uday and Qusay and then this happens. Then you get an asshole post like this. I suppose he thinks he's being witty but I actually expected better. But then, people seem to be living down to my expectations these days.
I went out after work with some friends for a few drinks. The trouble is, some people are mean drunks and some people are friendly drunks. Me, I get philosophical. I was thinking about Michele's post the other day about her feelings hearing Bruce Springsteen. Hey, I understand going through things because of exes. There were lots of songs it took me a long time to listen to again. I happen to admire Bruce. I guess it's different if you grew up with people like him and a lot of others you probably never heard of but whose names should be mentioned with reverence nevertheless.
Maybe I'm waxing too philosophical right now, but I think this whole damn world is going to hell in a handbasket. Don't look for some political candidate to go bailing you out either. Now, more than ever before, you're on your own.
