Excavation is painted with professional-quality Golden brand acrylics in numerous layers on a highly textural foundation. Alternating opacity and translucence creates depth and interest. Painted on a "gallery-wrapped" canvas approximately 1 1/2" deep and the sides have been painted black as a complement to the design. Finished in a gloss acrylic varnish to enhance the brilliance of the colors.
