"I am a self taught artist from Boston, MA. I paint mostly in acrylic and mixed media on canvas or wood. Work has been displayed in solo shows, group shows, online galleries, charity auctions, and published in New Art International. I have also done some commissioned murals and graphic design work. Recent paintings have been sold across the country as well as Canada, and hang in private and corporate collections." - Michael Bailey, The Artist

Greetings, eMOMA artlovers!

It's the Fiji Island Mermaid Press "You Tell Me!" Contest!

Win Fabulous (though tiny) Prizes, Internet Glory, the Admiration of your Friends, and the Envy of your Rivals!

http://www.fimp.net/whatnot.html

The Fiji Island Mermaid Press is delighted to announce "You Tell Me!", a contest where we provide the pictures and you provide the text. Marti Haykin has created three enigmatic drawings, just asking for interpretation. Choose one, and after careful deliberation write a caption, narrative, limerick, technical manual, phone book entry, novella, or just about anything else involving words to accompany the image. Send your entry to me at marc(at)fimp.net. I will then forward the entries to our judge, Dr. Paul Moriarty, philosopher and all around wise-guy (and I mean that in the best possible way), who will select the entry that coexists most happily with the drawing. The author of the best entry will win the artwork. The best of the three winners will win a subscription to the FIMP Book of the Month Club.

If nothing else, wander on over to the contest to admire Marti's strange little drawings.
