Presentation de Zope

Jean-René Vidaud at Ingeniweb sent me a note about a Zope article (in French) in JDNet.

Joel On Barriers

Michael Bernstein made some great comments to my earlier gibberish about replaceability. In it he referenced Joel "Joel on Software" Spolsky who talked about barriers to entry, switching costs, tipping points, and obstacle courses. Great article!

Is it possible for open source to approach product management with an organized strategy? Dunno. But I don't think "Code like hell and all will be fine" will lead to the hoped-for conclusion. Particularly in an insanely over-populated market like content management.

My 15 Minutes

I dropped by ZopeZen last night to see how things were going, and was surprised to see that Jon Udell had mentioned Zope Dispatches. Cool! He mentioned my Zope Moment, as well as the third member of the Permanence, Replaceability, and Inventor's Disease trifecta.
